Problem: Prepare Department of Treasury consolidated financial statements and provide easier financial data analysis capability.
Solution: Implement a CFO Vision (now titled Financial Management Solutions) front-end to produce and publish consolidated financial statements. Migrate existing financial data repository on VAX to state-of-the-art Internet application.
Result: Financial statements will be prepared with significantly less effort than in past, and on a more frequent schedule. Analysis is conducted in simple process never before possible. Additional data mining applications to be added in future.
